How we build sites...
There are several phases to building great Web sites.
Site Requirements. The very first thing we do is sit
down with you and go over what you want your site to do, how you want
it to look, what security measures are needed, and your expectations.
We then draw up an outline of the site and make sure it is what you want.
Mock-Up. Next we create a "mock-up" of the
site, which is a series of screens that show you exactly what each page
will look like and how it will function. The final text and data won't
be included at this point. During this phase, you will have ample opportunity
to make changes and alter the way the site works. We will not proceed
to the next step until you are completely satisfied with the mock-up.
Programming. Using the mock-up as our guide, we will
then begin programming the site to work as designed. We will include
the final text and populate any databases that are part of the site.
Testing. Depending on the size and complexity of your
site, we will spend a sizable portion of time testing the site to make
sure there aren't any major 'bugs' that will keep the site from functioning
properly. You will be asked to help us test the site.
Launch. Finally, we will make the site available to the
public (or whatever audience it is built for). It is at this point that
we register the site with search engines. We also keep an eye on how
visitors are using the site and can make minor adjustments to keep user
problems to a minimum.
